a movement towards good governance

FutureIOM is a movement for good government dedicated to focusing on three crucial issues. We describe these as The Three Pillars that we believe must be addressed to achieve improvement.

We are not a political party and we do not promote policies – these are matters for the candidates and parties to decide upon – what we do encourage is a recognition that unless the functions and structures of government, in both its executive and parliamentary aspects are updated and improved – the very best of determined political intentions promulgated by the successful individual candidates and parties will be frustrated in part or whole by the weaknesses and faults in the current system.

Think of us as a political pressure group, a political think tank, a political movement if you will, that seeks to empower you, the voter, with a more direct say in the function of government.

Chris Robertshaw conducted a talk, hosted by The Positive Action Group on the evening of the 17th March 2025 entitled ‘What is wrong with our government?’. His talk was a success and some listeners came together to become part of and form FutureIOM and have taken an active and instrumental part in our direction and concept.

FutureIOM is a small group of Manx residents who have recognised the political process is becoming dysfunctional and in crisis and we have pooled our resources to encourage a “movement” to usher in political change.
